Under the Four Memorandum, the International Model UN and the "Young delegate" projects will be implemented

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Central Asia Regional Bureau, Westminster International University in Tashkent, the Youth Union of Uzbekistan and the State Committee for Tourism Development of Uzbekistan at the Youth Press Club of the Central Council of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan. This memorandum is a basis for the parties to achieve common goals and strengthen cooperation through the Tashkent International Model UN and the "Young delegate" projects.

The event was attended by the head of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) - Ashita Mittal, the rector of Westminster International University in Tashkent - Komiljon Karimov, First Deputy Chairman of the Central Council of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan - Alisher Sadullayev, Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Development Abdulaziz Akkulov and UN Uzbekistan representatives.

- The International Model UN Conference in Tashkent will be held in March 2019. It is held to support the implementation of the Doha Declaration on Crime Prevention and the 13th Congressional Criminal Justice Convention," said Ashita Mittal.

Conference titled “Education for Justice” aims at acquainting participants with United Nations goals and principles, and promoting their diplomacy, leadership and vocal skills. 250 Uzbek students and 250 foreign students will take part in it.

- Nowadays, our students are working on the creation of the official web-site timun.org. This web-site will be the basis of the UN Model Conferences in the Republic of Uzbekistan annually," said Rector of Westminster International University in Tashkent, Komiljon Karimov.

Students from Uzbekistan and international universities wishing to attend the conference can register on the official website of the UN Conference: mymun.org and their website: timun.org.

A conference on the main activities of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) has been developed for the conference, which is supported by the Global Initiative “Education for Justice”. Conference will be held in the partnership Westminster International University in Tashkent, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Youth Union of Uzbekistan and the State Committee for Tourism Development of Uzbekistan.
